The Entrepreneur Society is the student-driven organization within the Sonoma State Entrepreneur and Innovation center launched this semester. We are a group of student entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial thinkers that seek to turn our ideas into reality by exploring the way innovation and business intersect. Our goal is to make a thriving community interested and invested in progressing entrepreneurial and innovative thinking outside the classroom setting. Anyone and everyone is welcome, from all majors and disciplines.
You don't have to start your own business to be an Entrepreneur! Just learning how to think and act like an Entrepreneur will elevate your position, enhance career opportunities, and change the way you see the world.
Startups and innovators have a greater chance of survival with the guidance of intelligent minds. We offer the wisdom of mentors including Dr. Kirsten Ely, professor of planning and execution, and Mark Nelson, our new Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Also, you will meet many different entrepreneurs and startups at the SMBC and at events who love sharing and exchanging knowledge.
As an incubator for local entrepreneurs, the Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster (SMBC) offers the amenities* that entrepreneurs need to succeed. In addition, SMBC provides a congenial space to think, collaborate, and simply get things done. This is why The Entrepreneur Society calls SMBC our home. As a member, you have access to SMBC facility and community.
Come out for food, tea, and coffee and discuss your next big idea! The Society gets together as a group to offer support in a fun environment to explore, implement, and execute ideas.
Working alone and isolated isn't typically the way innovation is created, and that's why The Society provides hours throughout the week where there will always be a member or leader to provide any help, advice, or brainstorming on your next great idea.
